Back in 1940
There was a man named Tucson Shorty
Who spent his last two bits
On a two bit room
There he found a bed
Where he could rest his head
And meditate
In gloom.
He said "I can't read
And I can't write
I don't know how to spell

I got my lunch in a brown paper sack
And I got a life time of crap
For a brain.
I spent my lifetime bent back boned
Under the rich man's heavey load
Dragging my feet
Down a long and dirty road

So...out of his lunch sack Shorty pulled some old Bologna
Stuck between two pieces of Wonder Bread
He put a little yellow mustard on it ook a bite, spit it out
Then he said
"G-O-D D-A-M-N !!
I'm done with this SHIT! it's way too sad
Maybe if I play my guitar
I won't feel so bad...."
Now, God heard all this
From way up high
And he looked down on Tucson
With his one big eye
He said "FEE... FI....FO, FUM
LIGHTNING FLASH AND THUNDER CLAP
LET THIS MANS SOUL BE HIS GUIDE
TO SHOW HIM WHERE I'M AT"
So at that moment Shorty's soul emerged
From deep down inside
And it opened up to the world
Like one big eye
Shorty was look out through a window
It was more like a big porthole
He saw an undulating ocean
Of the weird and the wonderful
Then God said to Tucson
"Shorty, you've been a prisoner
In the land of the boss mankind
Now your looking at my world with a fresh eye
